Telescopic Connector | Adapter

The telescoping adapter is a non-compensated, non oil-filled tool that strokes 34” and has an overall length (compressed) of 100”. The overall length is variable depending on what types of end hardware is desired. Kintec style, Rotatable connectors, or any type of proprietary connector are available. The 34 Inch stroke allows room to comfortably make up an MWD connection between drill collars on the rig floor while allowing extra length to account for irregularities in drill collar length.

The Telescopic Unit is not rotationally constrained so it is free to rotate as many turns as needed.
General Downhole also offers a stabbing guide that is a safety device for making up the connection on the rig floor.
The GD Telescopic Connector is pressure rated for 15,000psi and temperature rated up to 175°C. There are 10 internal conductor lines, each rated for up to 3 Amps and 150 Volts.
